How would this work exactly, on the API level? I've been hearing from many users about the importance of audio/video sync, especially when recording the output.

Eric Tang I am not surprised to hear this from users - it is something I would personally love to see as well. That being said, this is a relatively challenging engineering problem. I will share some of the research I have done into this potential addition. There are some decisions to be made about the approach and what it would look like from the user perspective as a result of those decisions
